Soft Tyranny

December 18, 2009

If they came at us with well equipped armies in a frontal assault, we’d respond with force and resist them. Thanks to the famed “Peace through superior firepower” attitude, we would defeat them.

The “Us” is, of course, the free people of the United States. The “They” is the modern enemy of the American way of life; we know them by the usual ideological “ist” distinctions: Communists, socialists, marxists, etc…

In spite of their mythical belief featured at the center of historic failures everywhere, in this modern age, their agenda to assimilate and exploit free people is very much alive and well. Make no mistake, their agenda is the antithesis of the values our founders attempted to solidify in our originating documents.

“We will bury you without firing a shot.” –Nikita Kruschev to the USA at the UN, 1956

A statement that may not have been taken very serious in its day, should be revisited with interest now. “Bury us without firing a shot”… One might wonder what exactly that would look like? How would such an agenda gain a foothold where it could be implemented?

Consider that, almost without exception, those who are active in advancing the left-wing “progressive” agenda openly admire iconic communist revolutionary figures such as Che Guerva, Mao Tse Tung, Karl Marx, et al. What would convince them that murderous monsters are ones who deserve admiration? The answer is embodied in the expression “Useful Idiot“. (Examples? Try here, here , here, here, and here)

Why should you care? Is communism all that bad? Isn’t it just another political philosophy, no different from any other boring ideological persuasion that equally fails to hold your interest?

This quick video, a cartoon produced many years ago sums it up nicely. It’s message is as important today as it was when it was created. More so today, since communism has advanced greatly in our country, its tendrils wrapped tightly in all levels of our government. Click to watch Make Mine Freedom (1948).

So, you think that communism couldn’t possibly find a purchase here in the states, where it could flourish?

Soft tyranny is imposed on an unsuspecting people in almost imperceivable increments over a long time period. Again, a full frontal assault would be easily recognised and repelled. But just as even an elephant can be eaten, one bite at a time, so can the freedom eradicating communist agenda be foisted upon a purposely distracted free people.

Lets have a look at a few features of the current party in power as of 2009:

  • President Obama’s former Green Jobs “Czar”, Van Jones is a self identified communist.
  • Wealth redistribution (Taking what you work hard for and giving it to others) is a cornerstone of communism. It is also an agenda that is openly pushed by President Obama.
  • Progressives admire communism and regard it as the answer to properly “govern” (control) people. Population control is another cornerstone of communism. The green movement is another front on which the war against freedom is fought, and so far, won. There is nothing to rationally support the idea that CO2 is a pollutant.
  • Many of our left-wing leaders are in fact, also admirers of communism. Of course, they can’t openly embrace it. Yet. They must use euphemism and mis-direction to keep the average citizen in the dark (With the help of an equally sympathetic press) but fortunately, sometimes, they let it slip.
  • Our president spent 20 years in a church that preached black liberation theology. BLT is not so much about anything religious, as it is about advancing marxism. Apparently marxism appeals to those who buy into the imposed victim status of minorities.

The limitations of space prohibit going beyond this very tiny tip of the iceberg. But there is much, much more.

Most citizens have a lot on their plate. We work, raise our families and some of us even try to comprehend what we’re told by various news outlets, because we vote. We don’t expect that the press might be part of a political agenda, we trust the press to, well, give us the news as factually reported to us. We expect that our political leaders want what is best for us, so we don’t have to scrutinise them any closer than what we sometimes hear from various news reports.

This chronic state of vague unconsciousness and naive trust is counted on and necessary for the soft tyranny that grows more invasive into our private lives, to further cement its hold on every one of us. The American people must continually be distracted by lascivious celebrity scandals, sporting events and perpetual exposure to the agenda message disguised as entertainment and news reporting via television, motion pictures, sympathetic news channels, radio, magazines and newspapers. This is designed to keep you from noticing the man behind the curtain.

What can you as a lone citizen do?

You may not think you, individually as a citizen can do very much. However, think about this: During the campaign, the mainstream media convinced you that voting for an inexperienced, dangerously naive, radical left-wing elitist was the smart thing to do, mostly by ignoring and failing to bring to anyone’s attention Obama’s lack of any leadership experience, his dangerous naivety and his radical left-wing, elitist disposition. The mainstream media succeeded in turning Americas voting citizens inadvertently into “useful idiots”. They managed to convince you, as an individual to vote a particular way, and you did, thus installing a community organiser, with no leadership experience, who only associates with dangerous radicals, into the most powerful office in the world.

No small accomplishment. And neither will taking the country back from them be an easy task. Don’t trust the mainstream media to give you the whole picture, they have a vested interest in perpetuating and advancing the progressive agenda. Support conservative candidates. Voting for republicans is no guarantee of getting a conservative, do a little homework and stay informed.

Freedom is a big responsibility, Americans have fought and died for yours, and continue to do so.

Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purposes of their daily lives and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom.

– President John F. Kennedy
